Buggy Barn's Buggy Wheels

I've admired this quilt since the first time I saw the pattern in American Patchwork & Quilting. Cris composed this quilt using her sraps. 56 1/2 square triangles, and eight 2" squares in each block. That's 12o pieces of fabric in each block. Sounds intimidating when you say it like that! She placed four blocks across, and five down. I will make this quilt one day. It is officially on my list!

I've made this quilt and it was the ONLY quilt I've made that actually made me cry! I had a heck of a time lining up the seams between rows (I now have a method that removes that problem) and got so frustrated, I cried. DH told me to walk away for a while, which I did, and then went back and finished the quilt. I have since had to repair it twice - due to dogs being young and chewing (first I had to replace the entire binding, and then had to patch a hole) - but it's still my absolute FAVORITE quilt! My DD - now age 23 - picked all the fabrics and it turned out wonderfully. I highly encourage everyone to add this quilt to their collection; you won't be sorry!

I found the pattern in an old issue of the magazine - my hubby brings me all the old quilt magazines from garage sales, tag sales, etc. I am putting together the fabrics for it now, going through my scraps; have the darks done. Lights today, off to the quilt shop for fat quarters as I don't have enough scraps for it, But can't wait to start.

What method did you use to line up the seams between rows????
